Nat 1 Publishing

We like the strange, quirky, and unique. We aim to find entertaining stories in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre by both new and established writers worldwide. Working with the authors, we dedicate our services to honing their craft and getting their work out to an audience that will enjoy and appreciate it.

We aim to respond to short story/poetry submissions within two months and novella/novelette submissions within six months.

The first ten days of the month is a free submission period, the rest of the month submissions cost $2 each to help pay for operating costs. Occasionally these fees are waived if we need to fill in the last several slots of a publication---so be sure to check in often! Novella/novelette submissions are always free.

Our genre

We primarily deal in science fiction and fantasy with a significant amount of humor (comedy, satire, or parody). Most of our work falls under LitRPG/game lit, but we accept any subgenre of SF/F.

Audience Askew Literary Journal & Chapbooks

An imprint of Nat 1 Publishing, we also like the strange, quirky, and unique. But while the Nat 1 anthologies are geared towards science-fiction and fantasy, Audience Askew stays firm in literary fiction, poetry, and artwork. We are a quarterly magazine that features a dozen or so stories that could be best described as the black sheep of the literary world. So send us the stories, stanzas, and visual arts that don't quite fit in anywhere else.

We make our decisions on which works are accepted the week after a submission period ends unless an author selects to expedite their entry.

The first ten days of the month is a free submission period, the rest of the month submissions cost $2 each to help pay for operating costs. Occasionally these fees are waived if we need to fill in the last several slots of a publication---so be sure to check in often!
